"Hilary" will be centered on Will Smith‘s (Jabari Banks) cousin, played by Coco Jones, who is set to headline the potential new series as the title star. The proposed story: After accepting an unexpected job offer from celebrity chef Yvonne Durand, Hilary Banks (Jones) impulsively moves to New York determined to prove herself beyond her Bel-Air connections. "Bel-Air" aired for four seasons, is a more dramatic reimagining of the classic 1990s Will Smith sitcom.

"Heated Rivalry" Cast Their Ryan and Fabian - Daniel Diemer and Shaheen Jafargholi have joined “Heated Rivalry” season two as Ryan Price and Fabian Salah. The characters are the central couple in Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” novel “Tough Guy.” Ryan is a Canadian NHL player dealing with anxiety and body image struggles, while Fabian is an openly gay Lebanese Canadian indie musician. Diemer and Jafargholi join a growing cast that includes Justice Smith, Charlie Gillespie, Emily Hampshire, and returning stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams. Season two of “Heated Rivalry” is expected to premiere in spring 2027.

Dan Stevens To Play "RoboCop" In New Series - Dan Stevens is officially stepping into the iconic role of Alex Murphy and his cyborg alter ego in Prime Video’s upcoming “RoboCop” series. The eight-episode show comes from showrunner Peter Ocko and Blumhouse Atomic Monster and was officially greenlit by Amazon MGM Studios last month. Stevens will portray the beloved fallen police officer whose consciousness is implanted into a powerful robot as a tech conglomerate pushes the machine onto the city’s police force. The series will offer a contemporary take on the questions surrounding “technology, identity, and who corporations really serve” that were raised by the original 1987 film, said executive producer James Wan. Stevens takes over the role originally played by Peter Weller in the first two installments, Robert Burke who starred in “RoboCop 3,” and later Joel Kinnaman in the 2014 reboot.

"30 Rock" Reunion Coming To Radio City Music Hall - The cast of "30 Rock" will reunite for a one-night-only event at Radio City Music Hall on October 11th to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary. The Legendary Dolly Parton Passes

    Dolly Parton, one of the most beloved personalities in or outside of country music, has passed at the age of 80. "TMZ" reports that       she was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville early Friday morning with kidney and autoimmune issues,        and passed yesterday morning

    Late yesterday, Dolly's reps pointed to a "brief battle with cancer" as the cause of death

    The icon had been battling health issues for over a year, often causing her to show for scheduled appearances via pre-recorded video

    Dolly had said in interviews that her health was greatly affected by her ignoring her own body while taking care of her ailing husband,           Carl Dean, who passed last year

    On her official Instagram page, her nephew Brian Seaver made the announcement on behalf of Dolly and her family

    A legend who destroyed the "dumb blonde" stereotype, Dolly was an extremely talented singer and songwriter who did things her way, and in doing so paved the way for generations of female musicians

    She branched into acting, with iconic roles in "9 To 5," "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas" and many more

    In later years, her philanthropy elevated her to her universally beloved status, giving millions to various charities, including her own      Imagination Library

    She was an author, as well as an astute business woman, with her own lines of food items, cosmetics and more

    Her last public appearance in person was at the grand opening of her "Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop" two months ago; her last appearance via video was to accept her Poet's Award from the ACM Honors on August 14

    To honor Dolly, President Donald Trump has ordered that all US flags be flown at half-staff for a week

    The Empire State Building also paid tribute, with the entire building lit up in pink in Dolly's honor

    Seaver told "TMZ" that Dolly would be buried next to her husband of 59 years, Carl Dean, and that she would leave this world in her      signature high heels and a comfortable cotton dress

    The Grand Ole Opry announced last night that it was dedicating its entire Saturday night show this week to the country music legend     following her death

Her SUV collided with a pick-up truck, driven by a 20-year-old Marine who unfortunately also didn’t make it. Mama A did have a passenger in her SUV with her, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The exact circumstances behind the crash are still under investigation. The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has officially banned wholly AI-generated songs from its weekly charts that showcase the most popular tracks in the country. The new rules, which take effect this Friday, state that music produced with generative AI can only appear on the charts if it was “substantially human made” and “raises no stream or chart manipulation concerns.” Wholly AI tracks are also banned from eligibility for ARIA’s Music Awards. Taylor Swift's GRAMMY Museum Talk And Performance Shared Online By Recording Academy - Taylor Swift celebrated her 20-year career at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles last Tuesday with “The Icon Sessions with Taylor Swift: A 20-Year Retrospective.” As we told you before, the invitation-only event featured a Q&A with Recording Academy president Harvey Mason Jr. and a performance for roughly 100 songwriters and composers. Yesterday the Recording Academy uploaded video from the event to their YouTube page.  Swift shared that making music remains worth the effort despite all the intense scrutiny she undergoes, because “I love it that much.” Swift also said she felt purposely misunderstood during her "Reputation" era but said she’s now “very proud” of how she turned that experience into art, and described herself as a “confessional songwriter,” stressing that personal revelations need purpose and emotional meaning in art.  Swift also compared re-recording her "Taylor’s Version" albums to having to redo homework after “the dog actually did eat” it. "Since it hadn’t really been done before in that way and I guess on like such a big scale and so loudly and obnoxiously...the public kind of did a little bit side-eye me the way that a teacher would if you did say the dog had eaten your homework. That was an interesting place to start from." Looking back on her beginnings, she said, “I love my country roots more and more the further along this path I get.”  At the end of the video the singer put on a live piano mashup connecting “I Knew It, I Knew You,” “August,” and “All Too Well.” Swift used the same piano she took around the world on the “Eras” Tour. She said creating unexpected medleys became one of her favorite parts of the tour’s acoustic section, sharing “I’d find some sort of through line.” For this performance, she linked the tracks by "the common theme of being about memory and reliving certain detailed memories of your life and the significance of those memories.”

He dedicated his song “Somewhere In The Sunshine” In remembrance of Hayden, saying that “right now, she’s somewhere in the sunshine.” Esten also spoke to the crowd about what it was like working with her. He explained that they filmed their first scene together right inside the Opry building, close to where he was performing. “She was just a wonderful, wonderful human being and our hearts are broken right now,” Esten said to the crowd.

Netflix’s The Gentlemen Renewed for Season 3 as Meghan Markle Remains in Talks for a Role - The Gentlemen is officially coming back for a third season, but will Meghan Markle be joining? When news emerged last week that Meghan was in talks to join a third season of The Gentlemen, that season had yet to be announced. Now, season 3 is official, and PEOPLE magazine understands Meghan remains in talks despite recent reports to the contrary, though no deal has been finalized. The Guy Ritchie-created Netflix series, starring Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, has been renewed ahead of its season 2 premiere on September 3, with Variety reporting on August 24 that the new season is already in pre-production and scripts are still being finalized. PEOPLE learned on Friday, August 21, that Meghan is being eyed for a part in The Gentlemen, with Deadline reporting that talks are in “very early stages,” while The Hollywood Reporter reported that the role “is currently being written, so it’s unclear how many episodes she would appear in.” The Gentlemen is set in England and filmed in the U.K.
