Jesse Eisenberg Hosts Film Screening For Apes: Insert your "oh, you mean movie critics?" jokes here. The new Jesse Eisenberg/Riley Keough film "Sasquatch Sunset" is a unique film, with the actors playing...well, a community of Bigfoots. Bigfeet? So Eisenberg decided that a unique film deserved a unique screening, showing the movie to a group of bonobos at Ape Initiative in Des Moines, Iowa. "The bonobos were very curious about 'Sasquatch Sunset'," Dr. Jared Taglialatela, the director of Ape Initiative, and Dr. Sara Skiba, Ape Initiative’s director of communication, told "People." "For many of the bonobos, they have never seen a film about creatures that look and act so much like them but are also so similar to humans." The movie is in limited release now, with a wider release nationwide tomorrow.

Two Ana de Armas Fans Settle False Advertising Lawsuit Over "Yesterday" Trailer: Ever notice how sometimes, movie trailers show scenes that don't end up in the finished product? Ever sue the movie studio over that? Two Ana de Armas fans did. Peter Rosza and Conor Woulfe were excited to see the actress on the big screen after seeing the trailer for the 2019 film "Yesterday." Once they watched the film and realized that de Armas' scenes had been cut, they sued Universal in 2022, alleging that they were each cheated out of $3.99. A federal judge initially sided with them, finding that movie trailers are not immune from false advertising claims. But as the case dragged on, the men ended up responsible for $126,705 in Universal legal fees. Friday, the case was mercifully settled, though no details have been made public.

Zendaya Does Nothing To Ease "Euphoria" Fan's Concerns Over Season 3: This will do absolutely nothing to ease the concerns of "Euphoria" fans. Instead of reassuring them that Season 3 of the hit HBO series was coming and there was nothing to worry about, Zendaya decided not to sugar coat things. Even though she's an executive producer for the show, she said she’s "not in charge" of whether or not the third season will really happen. "If it’s right for the characters and everything turns out the way it should, of course,” the actress told "Variety" at the "Challengers" premiere in Los Angeles Tuesday night. "But it’s beyond me." Not promising.

WNBA Draft Sees 374-Percent Rating Increase With Women: Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese now have numbers to back their superstar claim. With both college hoop stars entering the WNBA Draft, the expectation of a big televised event was reasonable - but the viewer ratings surpassed even the most positive predictions. Monday's draft drew 2.45-million viewers to ESPN, according to Nielsen. This is by far a record for the WNBA draft, marking the first time that the event has ever tallied over a million viewers. The former record holder was the 2004 draft, which this year’s beat by 304-percent. Viewership peaked at just over 3-million with just over 1-million of them women. That’s a 374-percent increase in female viewership year over year. That's star power.

John Mulaney, the father of her child, was reportedly incredibly helpful and a source of comfort during this time. “It would’ve felt like            climbing an iceberg without him,” says Munn

She also says that producer now admits that would have been a mistake for all involved. "I said, 'Chris, now that you know me, would I have been a fun "Housewife"?' He’s like, 'No, it would’ve been the most boring s–t I’ve ever seen in my life.'" Applegate agrees, saying she would have been a dull cast member because of her antisocial tendencies. Shania Twain Talks Taylor Swift And Career Parallels - If anyone remotely knows what Taylor Swift's life is like right now, it's Shania Twain. When Taylor was still in grade school, Shania was the queen of country pop, with diamond selling albums and numerous #1 hits to her credit. In a far-ranging interview with "Haute Living," Shania talked about her life at the top of the country heap, and parallels she sees between her reign in the 1990s and early 2000s and what Taylor is going through now.  First, though, she expressed admiration for the young singer. "That girl is working her butt off. She is living an exhausting existence, but she’d dedicated and committed to herself, to her art, and her work," she said of Swift. But seeing parallels between Taylor's career and her own, Shania added, "It isn’t even about ambition, though I’m sure that most people would call her ambitious. She’s an extremely hard worker, and I’m sure she’s got giant goals. But it’s not all about ambition: it’s about passion and committing yourself to your passion," traits that Shania says got her to her own career peak. She commented on how working with passion "reaps rewards" for artists. "So, I would say that I’m most proud of my perseverance, and that I didn’t waste my talents," she added.

"Sesame Street" (Writers) Might Go On Strike -  “Sesame Street” might be headed for a strike! Writers for the show, employed by Sesame Workshop, have voted to support a strike authorization vote from the Writers Guild of America if a deal isn’t reached by the time their contract expires on Friday.  The writers are apparently looking for improvements in their contract, especially when it comes to benefits. “Our demands would be extremely meaningful for the affected writers, particularly those in animation who are currently being excluded from basic union benefits and protections like pension and healthcare,” the union’s Sesame Workshop negotiating committee said in a statement.  There are 35 writers in all repped by the union, and they’re set to start picketing outside Sesame Workshop’s Manhattan headquarters on April 24 if both sides don’t agree to a new deal. “Our writers are integral members of our creative team, and we are engaged in good faith negotiations with the WGA. Heidi Gardner Reveals She Kept Breaking During Rehearsal For Viral "SNL" Skit - During the April 13th episode of "Saturday Night Live," cast member Heidi Gardner couldn’t help but break character hard during a "Beavis and Butt-Head" sketch. Gardner was playing a very serious NewsNation anchor discussing AI when two audience members resembling 90s cartoon characters Beavis and Butt-Head, played by Ryan Gosling and Mikey Day, disrupt the event.  Gardner laughed a bit when she saw Gosling as Beavis early in the skit, but completely lost it when Day made an appearance as Butt-Head with his exposed gums and teeth. Despite having seen Day and Gosling in character during the dress rehearsal, she couldn't prepare herself for the live performance and was unable to regain her composure for almost a minute.  The "Beavis and Butt-Head" sketch had been considered for the show and made it to table reads and rehearsals multiple times in recent years before its airing last week, and Gardner, who’s been a cast member since 2017, has coached herself to avoid breaking character. But seeing Gosling and Day in their roles proved too much for her and the feeling was contagious as Gosling struggled to keep from laughing during his lines. Afterwards, Gardner felt bad about breaking character, but she was reassured by her colleagues, and the skit has since been viewed almost 7-million times on YouTube, so apparently, people are enjoying it.

Spelling has fainted several times over the last several months. "This time I fell forward," she revealed. "I split my chin open. My poor daughter, Stella, she's just really nervous that I'm going to pass out again… her worst nightmare happened because she heard a thunk upstairs and it was me this time." Spelling said she remained on the ground and told her daughter, "I think I broke my jaw. I need to go to the hospital." In the ambulance, things got absurd, with the driver saying to Spelling, 'Hey, I know who you are. You're that star. Hey, do you have any intel on P. Diddy?'" James Gandolfini Revisited Tony Soprano Years Later And We're Just Finding Out: When the late James Gandolfini walked away from "The Sopranos" after the series ended, most thought the role of Tony Soprano was in the actor's past - but it now turns out that wasn't quite true. In 2010, when LeBron James was considering where to play next, Gandolfini and Edie Falco shot a mini "Sopranos" reunion. The New York Knicks came up with the idea to make a short film with "The Sopranos" stars to help sell James on NYC. The video also included appearances by Chris Rock, Mike Bloomberg, Robert De Niro, Alec Baldwin, Spike Lee, and more. The video, while impressive, was unsuccessful, as James decided to take his talents to Miami, which shocked Falco. "I couldn’t believe that it didn’t work," Falco said. "Not so much because of 'The Sopranos.' I just thought it’s New York. How does anyone say no to New York, for God’s sake? But he did!"

Courtney Love Says Taylor Swift Isn't Important, Disses Beyoncé Too - Courtney Love has some thoughts about Taylor Swift and Beyonce…and they’re not exactly positive. Speaking with “The Standard,” Love shared that as far as she’s concerned…Taylor isn’t worth anyone’s time. And she’s apparently not a fan of Beyonce's new music either.  ”Taylor is not important. She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist,” Love shared.  As for Beyonce, Love was a bit nicer…especially about her move into country music. But she still took a jab or two. “I like the idea of Beyoncé doing a country record because it’s about Black women going into spaces where previously only white women have been allowed, not that I like it much,” she started. “As a concept, I love it. I just don’t like her music.”  Of the other current female performers relevant today, Courtney stresses that many of them are “simply becoming clichés and clones of one another.”
