The Most Popular Streaming Services - Which streaming service do you watch the most? We all have our favorites, and most of us subscribe to more than one, even if we don’t watch them much. Of course, some are more popular than others and a new ranking reveals the most popular streaming services in the world, based on the number of subscribers.

It’s important to note that not all services are available in all of the same places, and some have been around for a lot longer than      others, so they’ve built up quite a membership compared to newer services, like Apple TV+.

Netflix tops the list as the biggest streaming service in the world. They reported having 269.9-million global paid memberships as of        March 31st. In the U.S. and Canada alone, they have 82.66-million subscribers.

Part of the reason for their success is that Netflix has been available worldwide for longer than any other service in the top 10. They            also have a huge amount of content and are constantly rotating in new content.

The 10 Most Popular Streaming Services in the World

    Netflix - 269.9-million subscribers

    Amazon Prime Video - 200-million+

    Disney+ - 150.2-million

    Max - 97.7-million

    Paramount+ - 71.2-million

    Hulu - 48.5-million

    Peacock - 34-million

    ESPN+ - 26-million

Apple TV+ - 25-million (estimated because they don’t release those numbers)

    Starz - 15.88-million

Dan Schneider Sues "Quiet on Set" For Defamation - Dan Schneider is suing the producers of “Quiet on Set.” He says that the docuseries defamed him and portrayed his as a child sexual abuser while at Nickelodeon…which ruined his reputation.  In lawsuit documents that “TMZ” was able to take a peak at, the TV producer says that the doc falsely implies he sexually abused the child actors as well and calls the whole thing a “hit job.” As a reminder, Dan helped create Nickelodeon hit shows like "The Amanda Show," "Drake & Josh," "Zoey 101," "iCarly" and "Victorious.”  Dan has previously admitted that he didn’t realize some of his behavior was out of line…but is saying in this new suit that the doc goes too far in alleging he sexually abused child actors. “There is no doubt that I was sometimes a bad leader. Harvey Weinstein Will Face New Rape Trial - Harvey Weinstein will face a new trial for sexual assault allegations. As we told you before, the movie producer’s 2020 conviction was overturned by a judge last month. The New York Court of Appeals claimed the judge in charge of the trial “erroneously admitted testimony of uncharged, alleged prior sexual acts...other than the complainants of the underlying crimes.”  “We believe in this case, and we will be retrying this case…It was a strong case in 2020…and it remains a strong case in 2024,” prosecutors told a judge in the first hearing since the conviction was overturned. A new trial could apparently come as early as September this year.  Weinstein was charged with rape in 2018 following reports of decades of alleged abuse being made public. He was convicted in 2020 of first-degree sexual assault and third-degree rape before his conviction was overturned. “We are happy to hear that the prosecutors want a speedy trial,” Weinstein's chief attorney Arthur Aidala shares.

Paula Abdul Settles Suit With "AI," Sets Trial With Nigel Lythgoe - Paula Abdul’s sexual assault lawsuit against “American Idol” has been settled out of court, but her sexual assault and battery lawsuit against Nigel Lythgoe is moving forward with a trial. She accuses the producer and the show’s production companies of sexual assault/battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, and negligence, in a suit filed in December 2023. The former “American Idol” judge’s suit against Lythgoe will head to a jury trial set to start in July 2025.  Court docs show Abdul accuses him of assaulting her two times, the first was in a hotel elevator in the early 2000s, she claims. The suit alleges, “Lythgoe shoved Abdul against the wall, then grabbed her genitals and breasts, and began shoving his tongue down her throat.” The lawsuit claims the second assault was during a meeting at Lythgoe’s Los Angeles home, and that he “forced himself on top” of her and “attempted to kiss her while proclaiming that the two would make an excellent ‘power couple.’”  “At one point Lythgoe called Abdul and taunted her that they should celebrate because it had been ‘seven years and the statute of limitations had run,’” the document reads. “Lythgoe clearly knew that his assaults of Abdul were not just wrong but that he held the power to keep her silent.” He has denied these charges. He’s also been named in three suits with similar claims filed by anonymous women.

Cher Explains Why She Dates Younger Men: Ever wonder why Cher dates younger men? No, the answer isn't "because she can" (although that may be true). The legend was on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" yesterday and gave a perfectly logical explanation. "And the reason I go out with young men is because men my age are older - well, now they're all dead, but...they were always terrified to approach me. And younger men were the only ones that..." "They're bold," JHud chimed in, to which Cher agreed. "Yeah. Raised by women like me." So now we know.

"I have been asked,” Campbell says, "But right now is not the time. I’m not anti, it’s just not the time." She adds that, at least at present, that kind of exposure isn't for her. "I’m not as bold to share like that," Campbell said. "You have to be bold." She is a reality show fan, however. "I love a good reality show," the "Martin" star says.
