-Art Walk Central is a unique art competition featuring almost 60 artists – it is also a community art infusion! The month-long event offers artists the opportunity to display their art in a public setting, with prizes awarded for both jurors and people’s choice. Additionally, everyone is invited to register   and vote for his or her favorite piece(s).  Throughout the month, there is a wide range of art activities   offered for children and adults alike.

-Art Walk Central artists are eligible to win over $6,500 in prizes. Your votes will determine the People's Choice award - A juried competition decides the other prize money - This year, $6,500 in prize money will be awarded.

-People's Choice voting will run Aug. 1 at noon and ends at 5pm on Thursday, Aug. 17.  All voters at least 13 years old can register to vote online, and then get activated to vote at either the CMU Art Gallery or Art Reach (or select events during Art Walk Central). Voters can vote for as many pieces as they like, but no more than once per entry.

-Art work for this competition will be displayed in public spaces, local businesses & at the CMU University Art Gallery

          Adult Best Juried Piece Awards: 1st Place: $2,500    2nd Place: $1,000

          Adult People’s Choice Awards:  1st Place: $1,000

          Youth Best Juried Piece Awards:  1st Place: $1,000    2nd Place: $500

          Youth People’s Choice Awards: 1st Place: $500
